Well, it's logical Monday and hump day all in one day after the holidays. I received a new Benchmark shirt, coat, hat, through cover and flashlight, before Santa came to my house. THANK YOU BTG !! IT IS GOOD STUFF. But it's Logical Monday, meaning the first work day of the week and over the hump day being Wednesday, the middle of the week and it's all down hill to weekend. There's much to do here today, many are still on their Holiday time off and the faithful few are here for service and support. A mixture of teller scanners and teller printers to do today. Although, we have a big order for Digital Check TS230 and 215. And we've got to be here for our customers. Sales is ready also. The Christmas Eve Bird

The man to whom I’m going to introduce you was not a scrooge, he was a kind decent, mostly good man. Generous to his family, upright in his dealings with other men. But he just didn’t believe all that incarnation stuff which the churches proclaim at Christmas Time. It just didn’t make sense and he was too honest to pretend otherwise. He just couldn’t swallow the Jesus Story, about God coming to Earth as a man.
“I’m truly sorry to distress you,” he told his wife, “but I’m not going with you to church this Christmas Eve.” He said he’d feel like a hypocrite. That he’d much rather just stay at home, but that he would wait up for them. And so he stayed and they went to the midnight service.
Shortly after the family drove away in the car, snow began to fall. He went to the window to watch the flurries getting heavier and heavier and then went back to his fireside chair and began to read his newspaper. Minutes later he was startled by a thudding sound…Then another, and then another. Sort of a thump or a thud…At first he thought someone must be throwing snowballs against his living room window. But when he went to the front door to investigate he found a flock of birds huddled miserably in the snow. They’d been caught in the storm and, in a desperate search for shelter, had tried to fly through his large landscape window.
Well, he couldn’t let the poor creatures lie there and freeze, so he remembered the barn where his children stabled their pony. That would provide a warm shelter, if he could direct the birds to it.
Quickly he put on a coat, galoshes, tramped through the deepening snow to the barn. He opened the doors wide and turned on a light, but the birds did not come in. He figured food would entice them in. So he hurried back to the house, fetched bread crumbs, sprinkled them on the snow, making a trail to the yellow-lighted wide open doorway of the stable. But to his dismay, the birds ignored the bread crumbs, and continued to flap around helplessly in the snow. He tried catching them…He tried shooing them into the barn by walking around them waving his arms…Instead, they scattered in every direction, except into the warm, lighted barn.
And then, he realized that they were afraid of him. To them, he reasoned, I am a strange and terrifying creature. If only I could think of some way to let them know that they can trust me…That I am not trying to hurt them, but to help them. But how? Because any move he made tended to frighten them, confuse them. They just would not follow. They would not be led or shooed because they feared him.
“If only I could be a bird,” he thought to himself, “and mingle with them and speak their language. Then I could tell them not to be afraid. Then I could show them the way to safe, warm…to the safe warm barn. But I would have to be one of them so they could see, and hear and understand.”
At that moment the church bells began to ring. The sound reached his ears above the sounds of the wind. And he stood there listening to the bells – Adeste Fidelis – listening to the bells pealing the glad tidings of Christmas.
And he sank to his knees in the snow.

Well, it's just who we are, perhaps our claim to fame, but definitely, one of many things, we do. Epson teller printers. With holidays, many like to take off and spend time with their families. Forward men, focus !!
It's always busy times and busy days during the holidays. I am thankful for the products that our customer has bought and WE need to service / support them. Epson Teller printers
Hello, Epson teller printer / validaters, repairs continue for me today. Epson 325, Epson 375, Epson 675 and Epson 925 are what we are schedule to work on today. Our experienced cleaning ladies know exactly what to do, as they prep the printers for test & repair. Once again, dust and debris becomes the printer's worse enemy and it effects the gears and paper feed rollers. The good thing about Epson teller printers are that they run forever. But, in that time there's dust and debris build up. A trained eye needs to find the build up and remove it. The Epson self test is a great test program for this type of testing. The self test covers slip feed printing, drop down validation and journal receipt printing. And we test the communication port by printing from Windows on the PC. Logical Monday
Greetings both friends and blog followers, logical Monday for me, as I will be working Tuesday thru Friday ten hours a day. Well, it will be an Epson teller printer kinda day for me, as we have several Epson 375s, 325s, & 675s to test and repair. It's Friday - Catch up Day

Month end close out

Catch up Friday 121130
Good morning everybody, it's FRIDAY, (with a smile) :-) I borrowed that line from late great radio announcer Paul Harvey. He would say this every Friday morning. Even though He had a noon day visit on Saturday, which was probably pre-recorded on Friday. Also, the term "catch-up Friday " comes from another radio man Ludlow Porch. He was heard here in Atlanta and in the south. His Friday shows had no main subject, but he would allow listeners to call in and talk about whatever was talked about during that week. So today, "catch-up Friday" we will tie up loose ends and be ready for Friday orders before the weekend and do some needed repairs. It could be a variety of devices, I'll just make myself ready. Another Pertech day
Another Pertech day, we have an order to get out. We're modifying the Pertechs for validate only. A programmable change and a back cover change as well. Oh, much thanks for the comment from Emily S. from printer services. We both seem to agree that ink jet print cartridge is very clear printing and fast. BUT, all to often, one needs an impact (dot matrix) for multiple copy validation. And so as the old saying is said "to each his own" on that one. Personally, I hate the use of paper, ie. pulp (wood/trees) but everybody wants a receipt on a sales or any money transaction, and so this should keep us in business for a while. Pertech Banking Transaction printers
Greetings blogging friends, I was off a couple of days for the Thanksgiving Holidays, we fried a turkey with canjun spice and cooked a cocoa cola ham, food, family and fellowship, (also shopping) but back on the bench today with telephone near me. Epson Capture One check scanner
Epson's Capture One check scanner is today's scanner or Epson TM-S1000. It's suppose to be the best of TWO worlds, Remote deposit capture (RDC) and Back office Capture (BOC). We have the knowledge and experience for this scanner. Cleaning and calibration will be the order of the day. Not exactly something an end user could do. Although one could start with a cleaning sheet or perhaps a manual hand cleaning in key areas of the scanner, but that's why WE are here. Catch-up Friday 121116

Epson 675 teller printer
Epson 675 validate or teller printer. I'll be working with these this A.M. A very versatile printer with clear character printing and very fast. It is Epson's next generation after the earlier 375 printer. A proven printer and still in use today, (EVERYWHERE!!), the 675 can be modified or a simple interface change to use RS232 or com port, parallel and USB ports. It fits nicely in the teller's area or can be used as a point of sales (POS) printer, as seen in some Walmarts and Public stores, at least here in the South in Georgia. But many times the dust and debris become the enemy of the printer, I will have to remove the covers and clean thoroughly, not exactly what an end user can do, but do-able for a (real) IT guy. (or Tech guy), Key areas will need to be investigated, checked and/or changed. BUT, that's what we at Benchmark Technology Group. Panini MyVisionX check scanner
Well, the Panini MyVisionX scanner is the check scanner flavor of the day this A.M. It is a teller scanner, not to confused with back office scanner. A much lower volume and speed scanner. I'll be working on the 301, meaning 30 documents per minute and unlimited feeder document. BUT, you had better only put 30-40 in at a time when scanning . . . for best results, I'll check the document count and time of usage to determine what needs to be done, but I usually check everything anyway. There are key components will need to be checked and changed if needed. The Panini scanner starts with the basic 301, but with a firmware change, it can be modified for 601 and 901, meaning 60 dpm and 90 dpm and just with a firmware change. Greetings
I am a Service and Support Tech. I have been working since 1978. I have dreams and Goals and I hope to achieve them. I have seen the days of Terminals (VDT) and main frames, along with the evolution of the PC, meaning PC, XT, AT, Penitums and now. I get exicted about PC perpherals. Those devices that are connected to the PC. I know and realize the customer service process. It can be time consuming and challenging, but also very rewarding.
